Tai Chi for Parkinson’s Disease
The pilot study for this research is currently underway. Results will be posted as they become available. Our general hypothesis is that Tai Chi improves motor function in Parkinson’s disease leading to enhancement of both static and dynamic postural control during dual task conditions.

Specific Aim 1: To determine if Tai Chi training improves postural control during quiet stance under dual task conditions.

Specific Aim 2: To determine if Tai Chi training improves dynamic postural control during forward directed locomotion
under dual task conditions.

Specific Aim 3: To determine if Tai Chi training improves dynamic postural control during perturbed locomotion under dual task conditions.
